Overview
A senior advisory role focused on providing independent, decision-grade technical and commercial advice across major energy and infrastructure programs. This position operates at a system and portfolio level, supporting early-stage planning, feasibility, engineering strategy and governance.
The role is advisory-only, shaping direction prior to delivery and requires strong executive engagement across complex, regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic technical and commercial advice across large-scale infrastructure and energy programs
- Shape early-stage project direction, including system planning, investment strategy and delivery approach
- Lead multidisciplinary advisory teams across engineering, commercial and planning functions
- Deliver feasibility studies, options analysis and engineering risk assessments
- Produce high-quality board papers, briefing notes and governance-ready documentation
- Engage and influence senior stakeholders across government, delivery bodies and advisory partners
- Provide insight across transmission, generation, storage, grid integration and network augmentation
- Support program-level reporting, assurance and decision-making frameworks
- 20+ years' experience across infrastructure, energy or regulated environments
- Strong background in system-level engineering, transmission, generation or major infrastructure advisory
- Proven experience influencing at executive or board level
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical issues into clear, decision-ready advice
- Chartered or equivalent professional standing highly regarded
- Strong written communication and stakeholder engagement capability
