We are partnering with a leading Australian engineering consultancy to appoint a Technical Director within their Power & Electrification team.

The Role
As a Technical Director, you will act as a recognised technical authority, leading the delivery of high-quality engineering solutions across substation design and broader power infrastructure projects. You will play a key role in influencing project outcomes, developing team capability, and supporting strategic growth initiatives.

The Role

You will play a key role in influencing project outcomes, developing team capability, and supporting strategic growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical delivery across complex power and substation design projects
- Ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency across all engineering outputs
- Provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary project teams
- Mentor and develop engineering capability within the business
- Support business development, proposals, and client engagement activities
- Drive best practice, innovation, and continuous improvement across delivery
- Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships
- Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Significant experience in substation design (15+ years)
- Proven track record delivering complex engineering projects
- Strong leadership capability with experience mentoring and developing teams
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to influence, negotiate, and drive outcomes in complex environments
- Take a leading role within a high-performing Power & Electrification team
